Solar Panels

Vertical skies intended as barriers to our eyes that stop halfway at translucence. Drop-cloths on fences that never get to drop. Redundancy of blockage leaves us with slow shadow plays on hastily erected screens. Industrial drapery worn and punctured from minor industrial accidents form curtains to their own stage. Gateways dress in layers of plastic, wire and the occasional opacity of boards. Lacy wire negligee dance to the shadows they cast. A see-through fashion show for the last few seasons. From behind, a warning sign's shadow can proclaim only the holes in its corners. An orange gate successfully repels avian guests as it's blue accessory beckons us to fly within it. Aside a swinging gate, a mixed marriage of weeds and wires in the privacy of the deep blue moonshine in broad daylight. Until noon breaks the spell and switches the glow to the other side. The floral audience becomes the cast. On wood wrapped in chain-link, shadows project straight down in almost parallel planes. From off right our sun sews a three-breasted suit from a huge pane of polyurethane clamped to the wound of a cloven mobile office. Temporary walls of the least possible expense get to be Times Square fifteen minutes every day at dusk. These are Solar Panels wired only to their own little grids.
